What You'll See and Do in The Nature of Color

  • Experiment with light in the white room, and see what colors you can create!
  • Step into the yellow room to explore how colors make you feel. Colors affect our mood, our perceptions, even our behavior.
  • In the green room, discover why some animals use eye-catching colors while others aim to blend into the background. Why did so many colorful plants and animals evolve?
  • Find out how colors can create shared identity, and the many uses of red throughout human history, in the red room. Red can convey a wide range of symbolic meanings including status, power, and marriage.
  • Explore how people have used paints, pigments, and dyes to add color to everything from clothing and cars to paintings and pyramids in the blue room.
